Care Manager - Full-time, 40 hours/week.  This position will be responsible for completing home visits in older adults' (participants') homes to assess and reassess their medical, social and financial needs.  Care Managers will develop and implement a care plan with the participants and recognized care givers.  Uses professional judgement and skills developed through established State, County and Agency training to ensure that Federal, State and Local regulations are followed.  Ensures that public funds are used appropriately and that individual care plans are managed accordingly.  Criminal background check required.  Email your resume to: Deana Marcello at

Case Aide, Care Management - Full-time, 40 hours/week.  The Case Aide will have primary responsibility for entry of Caregiver Support Program receipts.  This individual will scan all documents for upload into WellSky (formerly SAMS) for both the OPTIONS and Caregiver Support Programs.  The CA will be responsible for tracking missed services and the provision of new services in WellSky.  The CA will complete new phone assessments for In-Home Meal Service, follow up calls according to requirement and annual phone call reassessments.  Criminal background check required.  Email your resume to: Deana Marcello at

Center Services Site Coordinator - Part-time, 20-25 hours per week.  The Center Services Site Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the day to day operations at assigned Community Center.  The SC will develop and implement a variety of activities within the Center in accordance with the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging's Performance Based Contracting and Tier formula.  The SC will monitor and track all participants and activities at the center.  Criminal background check required.  Email your resume to:  Deana Marcello at


LifeSpan Internship Program

LifeSpan works with local colleges and universities in order to provide opportunities for students interested in working within the aging network to learn, hands on, the tasks, skills and responsibilities of a Care Manager.  Students work one on one with the Care Management Staff.  Students get the opportunity to train alongside new care managers - they attend trainings at the Area Agency on Aging, attend Resource Fairs, spend time at local Adult Day Care and Senior Centers, among other places.  Instruction is provided in Protective Services, Community Health Choices and much more.  Upon completion of the internship, students will be HIPAA certified and will have obtained experience necessary to successfully pursue a career in the Aging Field.  Internships are available at any time during the year and accommodations are made to suit student schedules.  To learn more about intern opportunities at Lifespan, Inc., contact  Jessyka Russell, Associate Director Care Management at
