LifeSpan Internship Program

LifeSpan works with local colleges and universities in order to provide opportunities for students interested in working within the aging network to learn, hands on, the tasks, skills and responsibilities of a Care Manager.  Students work one on one with the Care Management Staff.  Students get the opportunity to train alongside new care managers - they attend trainings at the Area Agency on Aging, attend Resource Fairs, spend time at local Adult Day Care and Senior Centers, among other places.  Instruction is provided in Protective Services, Community Health Choices and much more.  Upon completion of the internship, students will be HIPAA certified and will have obtained experience necessary to successfully pursue a career in the Aging Field.  Internships are available at any time during the year and accommodations are made to suit student schedules.  To learn more about intern opportunities at Lifespan, Inc., contact  Jessyka Russell, Associate Director Care Management at jrussell@lifespanpa.org
