SAIL Fitness Program – Episode 1
Welcome to Stay Active and Independent for Life.
Classes for adults 60 and older. Exercise improves strength and balance. Fitness is the single most important activity that adults can do to stay active, independent, and to reduce the chances of having falls.
Falls among older adults are the leading cause of injury and hospitalization. Many falls in adults ages 65+ are caused by gradual physical changes in muscle strength, balance, vision, and walking ability due to aging. Along with health changes related
to chronic health conditions, medications, side effects, and interactions.
